Last week I was driving in Westwood, hungry, just thinking of food and where to eat. Suddenly I saw a Hot Dog sign that called my attention. For me hot dogs are for children’s birthday parties, after party, sports games or for a Sunday night. But since I am in America, and couldn’t take out of my mine those shining letters, I run for the hot dog.
The Stand is a cute small restaurant/bar in Westwood decorated with black and white plaid tablecloth and a collection of posters in the wall. They offer burgers, sandwiches, salads and a variety of Hot Dogs. The interesting fact about the place is that you can built your own hot dog choosing the bread, sausage, and toppings (including different types of cheese, avocado, jalapeno, etc). And french fries is always welcome as a perfect side.
While writing this post I realized that I am the outsider here and that I need to stand more for hot dogs. The Stand has four different locations in Los Angeles (Encino, Century City, Woodland Hills and this one in Westwood) and they also take orders online. Besides that you can follow them on Twitter or like their page on Facebook and receive special deals. People talk about their deals with coupons and $1 dollar hot dogs in a specific day of the week, and also about the tasty draft beers. I wouldn’t miss that! Come on Hot Dog lovers!
